Colman Domingo’s first major TV role

Line of Events

Media researcher Muncie Daniels must fight for her innocence and her life when she stumbles upon a murder deep in the Poconos. Boy, I wanted to like this. I’ve liked other things Colman has done, but this is a waste of time.

And poor Colman is just wrong here

Some really dodgy and predictable writing and, unfortunately, not great acting. He’s not that much of a leader. It reminded me of Tyler Perry trying to play Alex Cross.

Watching Colman run was painful

Just unbelievable. As the series progressed and scene after scene of two people inexplicably whispering plots to each other (why not show us?), it was really hard to stay awake. I always think it’s fun when non-athletic actors get a chance to play action roles.

Not everyone becomes an action star

(He wasn’t great at action in Fear the Walking Dead and he’s not great here either). It always throws me off and smacks of a futile project. His mouth opens in every scene when he "thinks" (say he’s not nice and I think he’s interested in playing “sharp”).
