He’s smart. He’s lovable. He’s Dexter Morgan, America’s favorite serial killer who spends his days solving crimes and his nights committing them. During season 8, Angel Batista wasn’t always played by David Zayas. His son, David Zayas Jr., fills in for his father in some scenes because they look remarkably alike. Dexter has a large scar on his left side that is visible throughout the first season. Later, in season 2, the scar has moved to his right side, leaving his left side unmarked. Dexter Morgan: I’ve lived in the dark for a long time. Over the years, my eyes got used to it until the darkness became my world and I could see… Performed at the 64th Annual Golden Globe Awards (2007). This is my first IMDb review, not a day goes by that I don’t go to IMDb to check reviews of movies or TV shows I’ve watched, I watch a lot of movies and series. For the first time in my life, I couldn’t sleep after watching a series. I’ve seen Prison Break, Heroes and more. The first season of Prison Break and Heroes was amazing. They inspired me so much that I got a tattoo on my body. However, both series are getting cancelled as soon as they start the next season. Heroes was a big disappointment, but DEXTER.. OMG series after series it’s starting to make me so curious about the next episode.. damn season 4. I just couldn’t sleep the whole night after watching it. I spent my weekend watching episodes back to back. At first, Dexter (Michael C. Hall) his darkness was beyond the edge, he played the role so well that sometimes I wondered if he was the same in real life, but then I found out that Debra Morgan (Jennifer Carpenter) is his real wife who plays his sister in this series. Damn Debra is one character who is so confused and mostly controlled by the people around her that she always does something wrong but always gets recognition for the good things too. I love the part where you get to know what’s going on inside. Dexter is thought about when he thinks about something or when someone talks to him, also the part where he talks to his dead father Harry. (he just thinks about what his father would say in that situation). All the episodes/characters and all the seasons are written and acted so well that you can hardly find anything wrong with it. My favorite characters are Dexter (quite obvious), Rita and Vince Masuka damn Vince is so funny, he only says one word in his entire episode and it becomes damn funny. I just can’t wait for season 5 and I’m sure anyone who watched Dexter feels the same way I do. (I apologize if there are any mistakes in my first review and it hurts someone’s feelings.)
